When receiving the business license, you are simultaneously registering for the General Excise Tax License, this both registers you for tax and the license. The Hawaii Department of Health authorizes marriage licenses. Wedding ceremonies must be conducted by appointed civil servants or certain religious leaders. You, the bride and groom, must appear together to apply for the license and must present your individual information. Along with your personal information, you will both need to supply valid photo identification issued by the DMV or a passport. Applicants that are 18 years or younger also require their birth certificates at the application. The required fee is $60.
