Jobs in Ohio

Ohio’s success and failures over the past many decades have been largely correlated with the auto industry.  When the auto industry recently saw a major recession, so did the state of Ohio.  Employment dropped sharply at that time.  But now the auto industry is experiencing a nice rebound and the Ohio job market is simultaneously seeing some recovery.  There are now more job opportunities than there have been in several years.

The industries that drive this state of 6 million workers include trade, utilities, transportation, education/health services and government.  The state is in a great location for manufacturing companies and they flock here for the convenient location and relatively low cost of shipping.   All in all, the Ohio job economy has seen some solid gains lately and this would be a decent place to lay down roots in a management career.  Positions in manufacturing management are prevalent, steady, and great paying.  A degree in business is a great idea for anyone hoping to tap into this industry.  There are also plenty of management positions in healthcare, retail, and other corporations that call Ohio home.  A few to mention: Wal-Mart, Kroger, Cleveland Clinic, Catholic Health Partners, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, General Motors, JP Morgan Chase, Honda, Proctor and Gamble, General Electric, and Ford.  Here are some of your schooling options for a business bachelors degree, an MBA, or an online business degree in Ohio.
